Windstar Cruises has added a Peace of Mind Promise for all 2026 and some 2027 bookings, which covers the cost of the entire Windstar-booked journey including cruise, shore excursions, hotels, air, and transfers.
With the protection program, clients can cancel up to seven days prior to departure and retain the majority of their trip value as a Future Cruise Credit that can be used anytime within 24 months to book a new cruise.
“Travelers are paying close attention to the headlines as they plan their vacations, and advisors need flexibility and reassurance when helping clients book with confidence,” said Janet Bava, Windstar’s chief commercial officer. “Our new Peace of Mind program gives guests the ability to secure today’s best offers while knowing their investment is protected through March 2027. From Alaska and the Mediterranean to French Polynesia, advisors can confidently match clients with the right sailing, backed by added booking flexibility and support.”
The benefit is automatically included at no additional cost on eligible sailings departing through March 31, 2027, and applies to both new reservations and existing bookings already under deposit, offering immediate reassurance for travelers and a powerful selling tool for advisors.
According to Bava, industry data has consistently shown U.S. travelers shortening booking windows and prioritizing cancellation flexibility before committing to international itineraries. If a client cancels under the Promise, they retain a strong incentive to rebook using their Future Cruise Credit, creating a high-intent opportunity for advisors.
“With the Peace of Mind Promise, advisors can confidently recommend Windstar knowing their clients have flexibility built in, plus the option of additional insurance coverage when appropriate,” Bava added.
