Abercrombie & Kent Unveils 2018 Cuba Itineraries On Land And Sea
by Jessica Montevago /Luxury tour operator Abercrombie & Kent announced 2018 dates for its Cuba by Land & Sea cruise.
The 11-day journeys, which made its debut earlier this year, will depart on Feb. 23 and March 1. They include hotel and cruise accommodations, sightseeing, onboard lectures, shore excursions, equipment, most drinks and gratuities.
The itinerary features stays at centrally-located hotels in Havana and Santiago de Cuba, followed by a seven-night cruise aboard the boutique sailing yacht Le Ponant.
In Havana, A&K has added accommodations at the new Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski La Haban, the first five-star property in the city. Highlights include the chance to swim and snorkel in Punta Francés Nature Reserve, one of the best-preserved coral reefs in the Caribbean, lunches at privately-owned paladars and the chance to meet local chefs, and a tour of Old Havana with a local architect who describes the historic architectural styles and ongoing restoration efforts.
Additionally, A&K will launch a new land-based itinerary in Cuba this fall, Cuba: People to People: An Island of Diversity. The 10-day tour begins in the traditional town of Camaguey and explores the 13 beautifully decorated gold altars in Remedios, the perfectly preserved Spanish colonial town of Trinidad and Havana’s rich cultural heritage. Accommodations in Havana are at the new Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski La Habana.
