Sin City is getting yet another makeover. And, it’s happening at the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas, which is undergoing a $550 million overhaul and being rebranded as the sophisticated Park MGM.

After a four-year collaboration between MGM CEO Jim Murren and Andrew Zobler, the man behind Manhattan’s NoMad and Los Angeles’ the Line, the new marquee went up this week. MGM announced, last year, that it was going to make the switch from Monte Carlo, its name since it opened in 1996.

The 2,700-room resort, set for completion later this year, will house three pools with surroundings inspired by the South of France; a 77,000-square-foot conference center; and a remodeled casino.

Dining options will include the French Primrose Restaurant, Bavette’s Steakhouse and Bar, and the Juniper Cocktail Lounge. Also coming by the end of the year is a new dining from Roy Choi and Etaly marketplace, a gourmet Italian shop featuring both sit-down and on-the-go dining options.

Park MGM will also house a Las Vegas version of NoMad, as a standalone hotel encompassing the tower’s top four floors. NoMad Las Vegas will open within the property in Fall 2018 with 292 guestrooms and suites; a dedicated entrance and lobby; high-limit gaming; a private pool environment; and the Las Vegas debut of Chef Daniel Humm and restaurateur Will Guidara, the visionaries behind the world’s best restaurant, Eleven Madison Park.

Jim Murren, Chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts, said, “The opening of Park MGM, and soon NoMad, will tie together the entire neighborhood we’ve created with The Park, T-Mobile Arena and CityCenter.

The 5,200-seat Park Theater opened in 2016, formerly the Lance Burton Theatre, and is home to extended engagements with Bruno Mars, Cher, Ricky Martin – and soon, Lady Gaga. Other venues are getting revamped, including the $375 million T-Mobile Arena, now home to the Vegas Golden Knights; and the convention center, which was overhauled and expanded at a cost of $1.4 billion.
