Icelandair Lands in the Heart of America in 2018

Icelandair says it will add a new route to San Francisco this coming summer, with seasonal flights beginning on June 1 with four direct flights a week.
San Francisco is the 23rd destination in North America that Icelandair will be flying to, and one of six new destinations announced for 2018. Four of the other five are in the US, namely Cleveland, Dallas, Kansas City and Baltimore with the fifth being Dublin, Ireland.
“The time is right for Icelandair to return to Baltimore and San Francisco,” pronounced Icelandair CEO Bjorgolfur Johannsson.
“Icelandair has been in operation for over 80 years, and these cities have played an important role in that history. The third addition to our network marks the first time in its history that Icelandair will offer non-stop flights to and from the heart of America.”
San Francisco, Kansas City and Baltimore have all just been announced, to begin in late May and early June. They will provide a greater choice of travel destinations for passengers flying between Europe and the US, via Icelandair’s hub in Reykjavik.
