The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has appointed Insook Lee as executive director for the Americas. She will oversee the organization’s tourism marketing and industry engagement across North and Latin America.
As part of her responsibilities, she will lead efforts to strengthen relationships with travel advisors and other key partners, while supporting continued growth in visitation to Korea.
Lee brings nearly 30 years of experience with KTO, having held leadership roles across international destination marketing and market development since joining the Organization in 1996. She is based in New York.
“As Korea’s global appeal continues to reach new audiences, I am honored to collaborate with our partners throughout the Americas to further elevate the destination and inspire more travelers to visit,” said Lee. “By highlighting Korea’s dynamic mix of culture, innovation, natural beauty, exceptional cuisine, and authentic regional experiences, we look forward to welcoming both new and returning visitors to create unforgettable memories across the country.”
Lee will work closely with KTO’s regional offices in Los Angeles, Toronto, and Mexico City to advance the organization’s strategic marketing initiatives and expand collaboration with the travel trade. Her appointment underscores KTO’s continued commitment to strengthening industry partnerships and building on Korea’s growing appeal as a year-round destination for international travelers.
