Sandals South Coast Goes All Out With ‘Over-The-Water’ Theme
by Jessica Montevago /When Sandals South Coast says it’s “over the water,” it is not kidding. After a multi-million-dollar renovation, the former Sandals Whitehouse will relaunch with 12 over-the-water bungalows; Sandals’ first dedicated over-the-water bar; a floating swim-up bar right in the ocean; and an over-the-water wedding chapel with 360-degree water views complete with a glass aisle for the bride and groom to march down.
Each villa will have glass floors, a private Tranquility Soaking Tub for two, overwater hammocks, an extended sun deck and an outdoor shower. Bungalow guests will also receive Butler Elite service, 24-hour room service and a private water taxi to take them to and from the mainland.
The resort also added four dining options, as well as upgraded its existing five restaurants. The new Sushi on the Sand offers fresh rolls and sashimi alongside the beach, while the beach picnic option provides a romantic meal for butler guests. The Jerk Shack serves authentic jerk dishes and Schooner’s serves Caribbean fare.
To celebrate, Sandals Resorts is offering a free Lover’s Rock Catamaran Cruise for bookings of a minimum six-night stay at Sandals South Coast for travel beginning now.
