American Express Travel surveyed nearly 200 of its travel counselors on 2014 travel trends, finding that 52% indicated their travelers are planning international getaways. The most popular destinations are Seychelles, Brazil, Vietnam, Alaska, Grenada, New Zealand, Croatia, Bhutan, Norway and Greece. Arts and culture are the most desired focus of travelers, followed by ultra-luxury travel and culinary travel.
