Berkshire Hathaway Launches Travel Protection
Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection has launched an AirCare product offering affordable coverage for air travel delays and complications. Priced at $25 per trip, the coverage pays $1,000 for tarmac delays of more than two hours or if a traveler’s luggage is lost or stolen. Travelers will receive $500 for a flight delay that causes a missed connection or if their luggage is delayed more than 12 hours. The coverage is commissionable at 10% for travel agents. Berkshire Hathaway acquired Insure America in January, acquiring the company’s liability insurance and errors and ommissions coverage for agents.
