Delta Offers Affordable Perks Bundle

Delta Air Lines bundled some of its most popular travel options into a Smart Travel Pack that can take some of the stress out of travel during the coming holiday season.

The bundle includes a free first checked bag for each passenger traveling on the same PNR; access to preferred seat selection (bulkhead, exit row or aisle or window seats just behind Economy Comfort); priority boarding in Zone 1, along with Silver Medallion passengers; discounts on Economy Comfort seats (50% domestic, 25% international), and a 20% mileage bonus.

SkyMiles members can purchase the Smart Travel Pack on delta.com for $199 and apply it to all of their trips on Delta through Jan. 5. With the exception of the bonus miles, which applies only to the SkyMiles member who purchases the bundle, the benefits will apply to up to eight family members or friends traveling on the same reservation, so the Smart Travel Pack would pay for itself if each member of a family of four checked a bag on a single roundtrip.

The SkyMiles number automatically triggers the benefits: For example, if a traveler booked a flight two weeks ago for travel in November and buys the Smart Travel Pack now, the benefits will be applied to the trip automatically without further action by the traveler.
