U.S. Travel Exports Reach Record High

October 25, 2013

Travel exports hit a record monthly high of $15 billion in August, the U.S. Commerce Department said.. David Huether, senior vice president of research and economics at the U.S. Travel Association, said travel exports are growing five times faster than other exports. The travel industry has accounted for 28% of overall U.S. export growth this year, he added.
