Six airports were ranked the world’s busiest according to preliminary 2013 passenger traffic results from the Airports Council International (ACI). These six were also the world’s busiest in 2012: Atlanta, Beijing, London Heathrow, Tokyo Haneda, Chicago O’Hare and Los Angeles. ACI based its rankings on reports from more than 1,105 airports worldwide. Airports experiencing double-digit growth in 2013 include Dubai, Istanbul and Malaysia.
