Arch Waldorf Astoria London Launches Free Rides for Healthcare
by Mary Gostelow /Arch Waldorf Astoria London is scheduled to open 2023 but it already has its own personalized London taxi cab. This is currently on complimentary loan, with driver, to the local healthcare authority.
Rafael Serrano, Chief Executive of the hotel’s investment company, Prime Investors Capital, says “from the start it has been our intention that the hotel should be an integral part of the community and we are privileged to be able to help in this current crisis”.
Admiralty Arch Waldorf Astoria, 400 yards along The Mall from Buckingham Palace, is a fully-authorised conversion of the unique Admiralty Arch, built in 1910. Occupying both sides of the Arch, and over it, there will be a 98-room hotel, plus two residences, and a private members’ club. Three below-ground floors are being excavated, to add such facilities as a ballroom, and wellness, with pool.
The property’s taxi cab is the new LEVC TXE hybrid model. It is licensed for six passengers, who find navy blue leather interiors and onboard Wi-Fi. When the hotel opens, it will become the town car.
