The Globus family of brands has changed its COVID-19 policy to require all guests on its international tours, river cruises and independent vacation packages to be fully vaccinated.

The company, whose brands include Globus, Cosmos, Avalon Waterways and Monograms, previously accepted a negative test result or virus immunity in addition to proof of vaccination.

Under the new rule, travelers age 12 and older will need to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination, completed at least 14-days prior to travel, effective July 15 through Oct. 31.

“This policy update follows the latest requirements of many countries, provides our travelers the safest return to travel and ensures more seamless movement between countries and within destinations,” said Scott Nisbet, CEO of the Globus family of brands.

“As part of our commitment to provide sustainable, responsible travel across the globe – while keeping in line with anticipated destination policies – we are instituting a new requirement for travelers embarking on international vacations.”

The Globus family of brands will accept vaccines authorized or approved by the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), European Centre for Disease Prevention (ECDC) or an official government body.

The company plans to revert back to its policy of proof of vaccination, negative COVID-19 test or immunity for international travel in November.

Globus and Monograms returned to international travel operations this month, for the first time in over a year, in Iceland, Costa Rica, and Ecuador. The brands also expanded domestic offerings for regional travelers in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom for both Globus and Cosmos. Globus began operating U.S. domestic vacations in May.
