Holland’s Madurodam Opens An Indoor Family Attraction
by Kelly HaroldThe miniature city of Madurodam, based in The Hague, The Netherlands, today opened an indoor attraction where visitors can experience 17th century New Amsterdam.
The 15-minute attraction consists of a pre-show on a rocking ship followed by a main show with special effects. Visitors aboard “De Vergulde Bever” and virtually travel from Amsterdam to New Amsterdam, the city currently known as New York.
Visitors are able to battle against the English and fire cannons in New Amsterdam, where lights, sound, vibrations and a water effect make them feel like part of the attraction.
