Margaritaville Outlines Plans for First Lake Resort in the Ozarks

Margaritaville Outlines Plans for First Lake Resort in the Ozarks

Guestrooms in the resort complex to feature elements such as sky-blue walls, offset by warm wood elements with bright accents.

Lake of the Ozarks will soon be home to Margaritaville’s first lake resort. The brand plans to bring its laid-back lifestyle to Osage Beach, Missouri, with the 494-room Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake of the Ozarks when it completes a phased renovation program in spring 2019.

Formerly Tan-Tar-A Resort, the project updated guestrooms in the resort complex to feature elements such as sky-blue walls, offset by warm wood elements with bright accents; and exteriors of all buildings are now a shade of warm sand, accented with white trim.

Final touches will be completed early next year, including updates to the lobby, marina, 20,000-square-foot indoor waterpark, and bowling alley.

Guests also will find enhanced activities and facilities, including a fresh new fleet of gray golf carts for The Oaks golf course and the renaming of Arrowhead Pool and Bear’s Den Arcade – now Lakeside Pool and Fin City Arcade, respectively.

Several food and beverage concepts have been introduced at the property and are now open, including Frank & Lola’s Pizzeria; Tiki Hut Pool Bar, a new concept located at the resort’s Lakeside Pool; and the nautical-themed JB’s Boathouse Grill. Windrose Marker 26 Lakeside Dining serves seafood and steaks while offering incredible lake views. Margaritaville’s signature LandShark Bar & Grill will open in the spring of 2019; the new flagship waterfront restaurant features classics like fish tacos, nachos, wings, and burgers.

The resort will also house a full-service spa and salon, a fitness center, horseback riding facility, an arcade, two outdoor pool complexes, and more than 89,000 square feet of flexible indoor event space, as well as several outdoor venues.

Since opening its first hotel in 2010, Margaritaville now operates 14 properties in the U.S. and the Caribbean, and has more than 20 additional locations in the pipeline.
