TAP Portugal Expands Stopover Options

This year, flights to Portugal’s Faro (the Algarve), Ponta Delgada and Terceira (the Azores), Funchal or Porto Santo (Madeira) come with the option of a three-day stopover in either Lisbon or Porto at no additional cost to travelers. TAP will more than double its capacity to the Azores this summer for a total of 35 weekly flights connecting mainland Portugal to the Azores. Further, the Portugal Stopover is comprised of a network of more than 150 partners that post exclusive prices for Stopover customers for hotels, attractions, activities and will now extend to other partners in the Algarve, Azores and Madeira. TAP reports that since the program began in 2016, more than 40,000 U.S. travelers have taken advantage of the options.
