AMG Announces New Hotel Leadership Team

Jones joins AMG from CWT.
American Marketing Group (AMG) announced this week that Samantha Jones, the former North American sales lead for Carlson Wagonlit Travel, is joining the team as its new senior vice president of hotel programs.
Jones, who started her tenure earlier this year, will have full oversight of the preferred hotel program for AMG’s brands, which include TRAVELSAVERS, NEST, and The Affluent Travel Collection. The program includes 30,000 hotels worldwide.
Jones will be joined by two additional new hires: Senior Director Trisha Hall and Business Development Executive Jeffrey Kerzman.
“I am honored to be entrusted with this opportunity to bring new life to the AMG preferred hotel program, and thrilled to have Trisha and Jeff by my side as we begin to put into motion the plans we have laid,” said Jones. “Small- to mid-size companies have been largely left out of corporate travel management. This is a growing sector, and we plan to seize on this opportunity to grow discretionary business. That’s good for corporate travelers, travel advisors, and hotel partners.”
Jim Mazza, COO of AMG, said: “With Sam at the lead, we are now well-positioned to tap into our network of highly motivated travel advisor members with proprietary rates, value added amenities, and a robust commission structure, all while growing our partner hotels’ discretionary business. This is a win-win-win for travelers enjoying the experience of their choice, agents who retain the highest commissions, and hoteliers that benefit from lower customer acquisition costs.”
During her 20 years of experience in the industry, Jones has worked for Roomit by CWT, Radisson Hotel Group, IHG, and Millennium Hotels and Resorts.
Both Kerzman and Hall have extensive hotel and hospitality experience, including working for THOR, Inc.
