Daniel McCarthy receives Folio: Rising Star award.

Travel Market Report’s Editor-in-Chief Daniel McCarthy received a Folio: Rising Star Award on Thursday during a ceremony held in at Hilton Midtown in New York City, which honors the media industry’s brightest individuals on the rise, making their mark, even at the early stages of their careers.

Folio magazine’s annual Folio: 100 and Rising Stars list recognizes the publishing industry’s best-known and most prestigious list of innovators, entrepreneurs and up-and-comers in publishing for the impact they’ve had in moving the industry forward.

The publication provides publishing professionals with the news, insights, and best practices for today’s media industry trends.

“We are very proud of Dan’s leadership, journalistic integrity and his understanding of the digital media space in travel,” said Anne Marie Moebes, EVP and publisher of Travel Market Report. “He and his editorial team work tirelessly in our mission of being the ‘Voice of the Travel Advisor,’ a distinction that has set TMR apart.”

McCarthy has been at the helm of the B2B trade publication for two years, during which he has increased Travel Market Report’s subscriber base by 32% to 62,000 and increased pageviews by 33%. He has grown the brand’s target audience by understating the intricacies of the digital world and the travel trade space, as well as how they intersect.
