AmaWaterways’ Alex Pinelo
AmaWaterways has named Alex Pinelo as its new director of Latin America sales, a newly created role designed “to reinforce the existing team of specialists we have in place to better service and expand our presence in these markets,” according to co-owner Kristin Karst.
An industry veteran, Pinelo has worked in the cruise business for the last 20 years.
He started out as a member of Norwegian Cruise Lines’ passenger service team in 1984 and has since served as the vice president of key accounts and the director of national. He also spent three years as a district sales manager for Disney Cruise Line.
“I am excited to join the AmaWaterways family and to have the opportunity to work with the existing Latin American sales team to continue the growth of this exceptional river cruise product,” Pinelo said in a statement.
