AeroMexico Migrating to SabreSonic CSS

April 22, 2010

AeroMexico plans to migrate to the SabreSonic Customer Sales and Service solution, which will provide the carrier with a new reservations system, inventory control and departure control system.

The carrier currently uses the HP/EDS Shares system. HP acquired EDS in 2008.

The transition will make it easier for AeroMexico to interline and share codes with other carriers, notably its SkyTeam partners.

It also will provide the capability for AeroMexico to offer new products and branded offerings through various distribution channels, including GDSs.

AeroMexico also selected several of Sabre’s revenue management and accounting solutions from the Sabre AirVision Marketing and Planning suite, including the Sabre AirVision Competitive Revenue Management Service, Group Management and Revenue Manager operating in the origin and destination mode.

The airline will also cater to the travel shopping needs of large groups through Sabre’s Group e-Commerce portal.

AeroMexico already uses SabreSonic Web to power its Web site.
