Amadeus Says New Itinerary Tool Boosts Productivity

Amadeus introduced a tool for travel agents that aims to streamline trip management by packaging various trip options and client proposals into the same PNR as the itinerary.

Called Amadeus Offers, the tool also can generate emails under the agency’s brand with a customized offering.

The pre-formatted email includes flight and/or hotel details, pricing and a summary of fare conditions. It is available in both HTML and PDF formats and can be translated into 20 languages, with clearly stated rules and restrictions in easy-to-understand terms for travelers.

Eliminates cut & paste
Trip details can be accessed at any time, and the customer’s approved itinerary can be booked with a few keystrokes, Amadeus said.

Peter Durbetaki, owner of Uniglobe Five Star Travel in Atlanta, said his staff tested Amadeus Offers and “are saving an incredible amount of time” because they no longer have to cut and paste proposals and create multiple PNRs for each customer.

In addition, he said, customers have all the information they need in one place to make an informed decision.

Promotional pricing
Amadeus Offers will be available via several of Amadeus’ products, including Amadeus Selling Platform, Amadeus Selling Platform Connect, and Amadeus Web Services.

It is also integrated within Amadeus checkmytrip.com and Amadeus e-Travel Management.

Amadeus said the solution is user-friendly and integrates easily into current booking processes, eliminating the need for extensive training.
