Margaritaville Beach Resort Riviera Maya, the first adults-only resort within Margaritaville’s Island Reserve all-inclusive collection, has officially opened its doors.

The resort welcomes guests to 355 suites, all with a furnished private balcony overlooking either the ocean or the resort’s pools or gardens. It has 13 different luxury room types to choose from, from a Luxury Paradise Suite, which has its private swim-up pool, or the Coral Reefer Signature Suite, the resort’s top offering that comes in at 3,200 sq. ft. with its own dining table and outdoor pool table.

For food and drink, the resort offers five different venues, including some signature Margaritaville options including Frank & Lola’s and JWB Steakhouse, two of the more elevated options onsite. There are also two options brand new to Margaritaville—Far Side of the World, which serves “Pacific Rim cuisine inspired by faraway places,” and the Salted Rim Margarita Bar & Lounge, which opens with its own tequila and mescal menu.

The resort opening also marks the debut of the first-ever LandShark Brewery in Mexico, which features extensive outdoor seating, including two terraces overlooking the ocean, along with a beer sample tray or beer-matching menu and a menu of smokehouse classics.

There are plenty of adult-only activities on the resort’s schedule. Outside of the 10,000 sq. ft. St. Somewhere Spa, which boasts nine different treatment rooms, and a 2,000 sq. ft. Fins Up! Fitness Center, there are also scheduled activities including poolside performances by local bands, DJ-driven pool parties, mixology classes, dance lessons, Caribbean parades, trivia, pickleball, cornhole, and tequila tastings.

"We're delighted to welcome our first guests to Margaritaville Beach Resort Riviera Maya," said Grecia Lopez, General Manager. “The world-class all-inclusive resort offers the ultimate in adults-only escapes, inviting guests to indulge in five-star global dining, unparalleled service, luxurious amenities, spectacular entertainment, unparalleled views, and so much more."

The opening marks a continued expansion of the Margaritaville brand.

The first urban Margaritaville on the west coast, Margaritaville San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, opened for booking last week, while Margaritaville Island San Diego, located in Mission Bay, is scheduled to open next year.
