Let’s Pick up Where We Left Off: Travel Market Place Returns Live to Vancouver in 2022

Let’s Pick up Where We Left Off: Travel Market Place Returns Live to Vancouver in 2022

Travel Market Report (TMR) and the Association of Canadian Travel Agents (ACTA) today are thrilled to announce that the annual Travel Market Place West conference is returning live to Vancouver on March 31 – April 1, 2022, and will be held at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver & the Douglas.

Over two action-packed days, the agents learn from dynamic industry speakers on how to become more profitable while keeping today’s consumers satisfied with topics including, sales, marketing, social media, and more.  However, Travel Market Place is not just about the education sessions! Travel Market Place includes a trade show with top industry suppliers, 1 on 1 meetings for top advisors, along with other networking events to further promote business development and strengthen industry relationships between agencies and suppliers.

“Our last conference was March 10-11, 2020, immediately before Canada and the world shut down. It will be an honor and pleasure for Travel Market Report and ACTA to welcome you back to exactly where we left off at the beautiful JW PARQ in Vancouver!” said Anne Marie Moebes, publisher of Travel Market Report.  “Our industry may be a bit different but we are smarter and stronger because we worked hard and persevered during the most challenging time to ever hit our industry. Now it’s time to celebrate our resilience, network together, and learn all the destination, product, health, and safety updates.”

“We are really looking forward to Travel Market Place and especially to be once again networking with Industry Leaders, Travel Agents, and Travel Suppliers, “ said Wendy Paradis, ACTA President. “The travel industry has been through tremendous upheaval and this will be a great opportunity to learn about new tools and develop some new skills that will help us rebuild. ACTA is pleased to partner on this event with Travel Market Place in 2022.”

ACTA agents can attend for just $99 and non-ACTA agents are welcome for a fee of $129. Both rates include trade show admittance, access to educational and networking opportunities, and most conference meals and event functions.

During the planning process, we are working with our event partners to ensure that we can deliver an event that is both meaningful and safe.  Our decision to host a live, in-person event is based on our firm belief that it’s in the best interest of the agency community and our industry to hold important conversations about the future of business in person. We hold the health and safety of our attendees as our top priority and will be taking the necessary steps to ensure we are following all guidelines set by the World Health Organization as well as the local government.
