As the Travel Institute continues to overhaul a number of its courses and certifications, it rolled out two updated business-focused trainings.

The Business Planning and Financial Planning bundle is designed to help travel agents improve their business plans, manage cash flow, and save on taxes and professional fees. The courses include learning exercises, such as application activities, and pre- and post-chapter quizzes.

The Business Planning module covers topics such as preparing a complete business plan; setting goals for your business; analyzing new business opportunities; and identifying the gaps between your current capabilities and strategic requirements.

Objectives of the Financial Planning module, meanwhile, include determining adequate staffing needs; understanding the link between customer relationship management (CRM) and accounting; identifying the components of external financial statements; internal financial reporting; analyzing the financial strength of your business; and improving your cash flow.

The bundle is 25 percent off ($75) throughout November. Premium members of The Travel Institute can access the package free of charge, and basic members receive an additional 10 percent savings. Certified counselors who complete both courses can earn a total of 10 continuing education credits.

Students enrolled in the Business Planning and Financial Planning courses will also receive access to two webinars: “Creating a Business Plan” with business coach Cory Andrichuk, and “Your Competitive Advantage – Your Brand” with former Mark Travel executive Brian Robb, CTIE.

In addition, The Travel Institute is running a month-long promotion in November for new premium memberships priced at $169, a $30 savings, which includes the Business and Financial Planning bundle.
