AccorHotels and investment group Algeciras have signed an agreement to acquire Chilean Atton Hoteles, which operates 11 hotels across Chile, Peru, Colombia and the United States.
The $105 million deal, expected to close in the second half of 2018, gives France's AccorHotels an even greater presence in Latin America, where it has 335 hotels operating and another 166 under development.
Atton Hoteles was founded in Chile in 2000, catering to business travelers in the midscale and upscale segment. It currently has three hotels under development.
The properties will be initially co-branded with the AccorHotels name before being fully rebranded under Accor’s Pullman, Novotel, MGallery and Mercure names.
