Brussels Airport Set To Reopen

Just over a week after two bombs exploded in its check-in area, Brussels Airport is almost ready to reopen.
In a statement, the airport said it is ready to resume passenger flights at about 20% of regular capacity on Friday evening; all that remains is “the formal political approval.” The Brussels fire services and the Belgian Civil Aviation Authority have already given the go-head for the partial restart.
Temporary check-in desks and bags drops, and the extra security measures that are now required at all Belgian airports, have been installed. Officials ran tests on Tuesday to be sure everything meets fire-safety requirements and can handle a real passenger flow.
