Delta Targets the Corporate Tech Crowd
In a move to win over the young tech crowd, Delta Airlines is offering corporate programs that don’t require market share or volume commitments to Silicon Valley companies, insiders say.
The Company Dime reports that the carrier is offering discounts ranging from 2% to “several more percentage points” to targeted tech companies, hoping to become their preferred carrier now, and perhaps their mandated carrier later (http://www.thecompanydime.com/delta-young/).
At this month’s Society for College Travel and Expense Management conference, Delta’s director for specialty sales Norma Dean mentioned the airline’s “interest in this emerging high-value customer,” and desire to be a “lifelong travel partner for future customers.”
