Family of Drowning Victim Sues Toronto Cruise Line For $1 Million
The family of Keith White, a 34-year-old certified lifeguard and welding technician, is suing the Toronto party-cruise line from which their son took a fatal fall.
The family is suing the cruise line, the captain, and an entertainment company of Knot Another Yacht Party for $1 million. Allegedly the ship continued to sail away after White fell off, as he frantically wavied his arms and eventually drowned.
The Transportation Safety Board is still investigating the fatality to determine what occurred and how. The cruise company has declined to make any comment.
