Premium Car Rental Service Expects to Double Operations in 2018
by Richard D'Ambrosio /
Silvercar, a premium car rental company that only rents Audi A4 sedans, said it will double its operations in 2018.
The company unveiled its growth plans as it announced its newest airport location in Salt Lake City, Utah, which will open Jan. 8, 2018. Silvercar opened Seattle and Orlando locations earlier in 2017. Silvercar, which did not disclose where its new locations would be opened, has been aggressively wooing travel agents looking for a higher level of service for their clients.
Silvercar’s 2017 and 2018 fully-loaded Audi A4 vehicles come with onboard Wi-Fi, GPS navigation, and SiriusXM satellite radio -- at no additional cost. The company does not have fuel upcharges, mileage restrictions, or additional fees for toll charges. Prices start at about $49 per day at all locations for 2018 rentals booked by Dec. 31, 2017.
With the addition of Salt Lake City, Silvercar locations will total 18 nationwide, including, Chicago, Austin, Miami, San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver, and several sites in and around New York City. Audi acquired the company earlier this year.
