Royal Caribbean Debuts AI-Powered Photo Tool Called SoundSeeker

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 100

Royal Caribbean International is now offering a new, first-of-its-kind photo tool to its travelers called SoundSeeker that pairs photos with an original, shareable soundtrack and video matched by artificial intelligence.

Guests can now upload three photos on the SoundSeeker website, and based off their color, landscape, and the facial expressions of their subjects, it will create a one-of-a-kind soundtrack.

The program uses machine learning that lets computers simulate human intelligence without the need for instructions. To create the program, Royal Caribbean teamed up with experts from Berklee College of Music and technologists around the world, who helped review more hundreds of music tracks and thousands of photos to create a match for 2.5 million combinations to one of 10 moods.

“People of all ages crave new ways to share their best experiences on social media. This unprecedented tool allows you to put a completely unique, multisensory spin on sharing those memories – now friends and followers can see and hear your life’s adventures,” Jim Berra, chief marketing officer, Royal Caribbean International said.

SoundSeeker will be able to create more than one million tracks inspired by a wide range of music.
