U.S. Travel President Praises U.S. and Brazil Visa-Free Travel
The president of the USTA praised the decision by the U.S. and Brazil to commit to visa-free travel. President Obama and Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff recently pledged to expand the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) between the two countries, setting up a process to include Brazil in the Global Entry Program. The association has been a long supporter of the expansion of the VWP to Brazil.
"Brazil represents a crucial travel market, with both strong demand and financial means for international travel. Expanding the VWP to Brazil would add nearly 650,000 new visitors to the U.S., increasing total visitation to more than 3 million in 2015,” said Rousseff.
