Alaska Airlines is adding service at two of its major California hubs.

Starting on Oct. 1, Alaska will fly from San Diego International Airport (SAN) to Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport (LAX), its 39th nonstop destination from the California city. Alaska will fly that service four times daily.

At the same time, the carrier will boost service out of Los Angeles International (LAX) to Tri-Cities Airport (PSC) in Pasco, Wash. and Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). Also starting on Oct. 1, Alaska will fly to Pasco once daily and to Reno twice daily from Los Angeles.

Alaska said that the new routes come from its commitment to keep growing in Southern California, and furthering its place as the airline flying the most nonstop destinations from San Diego.

With the Los Angeles additions, it will also offer more daily flights to West Coast cities from Los Angeles than any other airline. That includes 13 times daily service to Seattle, 8 times daily to Portland, and 6 times daily to Las Vegas.
