Delta Air Lines to Boost Miami Schedule 27% in 2024
by Daniel McCarthy /Delta Air Lines is adding more flights out of Miami as it prepares to zero in on the South Florida hub in 2024.
Delta is boosting its Miami schedule by 27% for 2024, adding more flights to Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York City (both JFK International and LaGuardia), and Orlando. All those, plus a brand-new Washington D.C. flight that Delta launched last month, means about another 1,300 seats per day from Miami on Delta.
Delta’s schedule, which will reach 37 peak-day departures in 2024, is still significantly lower than American, which reached 380 peak-day flights this winter. Still, Delta sees the additions, along with its continuing codeshare Aeromexico, Air France/KLM, LATAM Airlines, and Virgin Atlantic, as a significant step in boosting its Miami presence.
“Delta is serious about its presence in Miami and across South Florida, and we’re demonstrating that through new partnerships and network enhancements, a best-in-class experience for customers at the airport, and heartfelt community involvement and investment in the community,” said Luciano Macagno, Delta Managing Director for Latin American, the Caribbean, and South Florida. “We are eagerly awaiting what the next year holds.”
