MSC Cruises USA has appointed Erin Douglas as vice president of field sales, effective immediately. She will lead MSC’s business development managers and support teams as those teams double in size to accommodate the line’s ongoing North American expansion. She will also oversee the line’s efforts to further partner with U.S.-based travel advisors.
Douglas joins MSC Cruises with more than 20 years of cruise experience focused on driving business development and marketing. She spent 14 years at Carnival Cruise Line, where she most recently served as senior director of strategic partnerships. Prior to that, she was a cruise manager for a major travel retailer, having originally begun her career as a travel advisor.
“Erin will play a pivotal role in expanding the partnerships we have with our amazing community of travel advisors in the U.S. market,” said Koreen McNutt, senior vice president & commercial sales officer for MSC Cruises USA. “She’s well known and respected in the cruise industry, and she has the leadership and relationship-building skills needed to support our aggressive expansion goals in the coming years.
