Princess Cruises President Jan Swartz Tagged to Lead Holland America Group

Princess Cruises president Jan Swartz will head up Carnival Corp’s Holland America Group, which includes Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Seabourn, and P&O Australia, Carnival Corp. announced Tuesday. 

Swartz, who has been with Carnival Corp. in a variety of roles since 2001, has been serving as group president of Princess Cruises and Carnival Australia, as well as having executive oversight of P&O Cruises Australia, since 2016.  

She takes over for Stein Kruse, who will now move to a senior advisor role to Carnival Corp.’s chairman, Micky Arison. 

“Jan is a highly respected executive and a role model,” Arnold Donald, president and CEO of Carnival Corp. said in a statement announcing the news. “Jan is a champion of innovation and a proven leader.”

Swartz is also the president of the Princess Cruises Community Foundation.
