Norwegian Cruise Line Reverts Back to “Free at Sea”

Two months shy of two years from when Norwegian Cruise Line replaced its long-time signature value-added package “Free at Sea” with “More at Sea,” the cruise line is reverting back to “Free at Sea,” though in a modified version that is quite similar to “More at Sea.”

Beginning Nov. 5, 2025, the Free at Sea package is available on all sailings, offering amenities valuing over $2,000 in savings, including a beverage package, Wi-Fi minutes, specialty dining, and shore excursion credits.

According to NCL, the package has been “simplified to provide a more effortless and consistent offer to more guests.”

“This improved Free at Sea package is tailored to deliver more value to a greater percentage of guests as an expanded number of them will receive additional Wi-Fi minutes, enjoy added savings on the unlimited beverage package, and more dining credits,” the line said in its announcement.

For a standard seven-night sailing, the enhanced Free at Sea package includes:

  • Unlimited open bar including premium spirits and 20% off all bottles of Champagne or wine
  • 150 minutes of high-speed Internet per person and discounts off upgrades to the unlimited Wi-Fi package (applies to all guests in the stateroom)
  • Three specialty dining meals for the first and second guest on the reservation
  • A $50 credit off each shore excursion for the first guest on the reservation

Free at Sea is an optional package and must be booked pre-cruise. Prices (essentially covering the gratuities) for the beverage and specialty dining pieces of the package vary by sailing. Clients can choose to opt out of both the beverage and specialty dining packages (or just one of them). The free Wi-Fi and shore excursion credit are automatic.

Bookings made prior to Nov. 5, 2025 are grandfathered under the previous “More At Sea” package.
