American Airlines has officially restarted two of its popular nonstop direct flights from Daytona International—the airline is once again flying to Dallas-Fort Worth and Washington D.C. from Daytona.
American will operate the Dallas route daily until January 9, 2023, and will then resume it on February 3, 2023, before stopping again on March 2, 2023. American will fly the Washington D.C. route every Saturday in December and early January, and then again starting on February 4, 2023, through April 29, 2023.
American also already offers daily nonstop service to Charlotte from Daytona.
“The resumption of these seasonal flights is a testament to the demand for service through Daytona Beach International Airport,” said Joanne Magley with the airport’s air service, marketing, and customer experience department.
“With continued support from the community and our visitors, these seasonal flights are likely to continue each year, and help make the case for possible permanent offerings.”
Earlier this week, American, along with its partner JetBlue, announced an expansion of their Northeast Alliance with more flights out of their Boston and New York hubs.
The additions are mostly domestic—in total, the two are adding eight new domestic flights to Atlanta, Knoxville, Hyannis, Birmingham, Alabama, Buffalo, Greenville, Columbia, and Grand Rapid—but also include flights to three international destinations in Nassau, Vancouver, and Bermuda.
