For You and Your Clients: The Benefits of Reserving AmaWaterways River Cruises

May 15, 2023

Experience AmaWaterways, the Heart of the River™

One of the fastest growing sectors of the travel industry, river cruising is being discovered by more and more people, who return home ready to plan their next journey on the rivers. There is no better river cruise line to treat your clients to than award-winning AmaWaterways.

Leading the way in river cruising for more than 20 years, we differentiate ourselves from other lines through the level of care we provide our guests. “Ama” means love – and we put love in everything we do, from the way our warm-hearted Cruise Managers greet you each morning on board to the way the chefs passionately prepare your food in the galley. From the moment guests step on board to the time they disembark as the crew bids them farewell, the river cruise line ensures that guests will have an awe-inspiring experience and will create precious memories that will last a lifetime along the rivers of Europe, Asia, Africa and, beginning in 2024, South America.

AmaWaterways provides that same level of care and top-notch support to the travel advisors they work with as well. With a plethora of marketing resources at your fingertips, lucrative commission rates on bookings, and dedicated team members ready to help with all your questions, we give you the help you need to easily grow your river cruise business.

Marketing Materials and Insider Resources – All at Your Fingertips

At AmaWaterways, we pride ourselves on working closely with our esteemed travel advisors, partnering with you to create ideal onboard experiences that will have your clients coming back for more. On our Travel Advisor Portal, you will find a plethora of insightful information, insider tips, and marketing material. There, you can find helpful resources that allow you to make your own co-branded webpages, linking to approved content that stems from your business’s website.

We also provide helpful toolkits with beautifully produced content, images, insider tips, and special social media posts that you can utilize to help you engage with and inspire your clients to experience our incredible river cruise journeys for themselves.

For travel advisors who want to learn more about new itineraries, marketing tips, and more, we host special Webinar Wednesday events every week. You can register for the webinars through your Travel Advisor Portal and be treated to the most up-to-date information and insights from members of the AmaWaterways family and even fellow travel advisors.

The Appeal of Group Sailings

Group journeys are one of the most time-effective, lucrative opportunities available to travel advisors as you work to obtain bookings. With a minimum threshold of five staterooms for ten guests, these groups can be a great way for your clients to celebrate birthdays or special milestones surrounded by loved ones. Groups also cater to special interest groups looking to explore the world and their passions together. With AmaWaterways, planning these experiences is simple!

To get started, contact your regional Business Development Manager (BDM), who will help you get the process started and put you in contact with your own personal Group Coordinator. Along every step of the way, they will stay by your side, providing customized marketing materials, helping organize Cruise Nights to advertise your group experience to potential and current clients, and ensuring the river cruise is seamless from start to finish.

Group sailings offer your clients special savings on their river cruise journeys, but they are not the only ones enjoying incredible benefits! Every piece of an AmaWaterways river cruise vacation is commissionable for travel advisors at a very lucrative rate. Commission rates are set at 15% of the client’s river cruise fare, 12% of their land package cost, 5% of their fully contracted air (if booked through AmaWaterways) and 5% of their cruise protection plan. Booking groups with AmaWaterways is even more lucrative, because you will receive up to 18% commission if you help book a special excursion for a group.

Time to Bring in New Reservations!

With in-depth marketing tools and resources on our Travel Advisor Portal and regional BDMs who are dedicated to helping you sell these immersive itineraries, we impower you to bring our river cruising experiences to your clients – the only step left is to take the leap and register at AmaWaterways.com/agent-home today!

From the Sponsor:

In 2002, AmaWaterways was formed by three families with a love for river cruising and a dream of creating the kinds of journeys that they wanted to experience with their loved ones. Our Co-Founder and President, Rudi Schreiner, grew up in Vienna, at the heart of the Danube River. Each of the river cruise line’s itineraries is thoughtfully curated under Rudi’s guidance as the “Godfather of River Cruising” – including those that glide along the river next to the city where he spent his childhood, the Danube River.

We invite you and your clients to explore the rich heritage and captivating history that awaits along the riverbanks of the legendary Danube River. When guests embark on breathtaking itineraries such as our Romantic Danube and Celebration of Classical Music: The Danube river cruises, they will be immersed in the vibrant community and culture of grand capitals and charming villages along their extraordinary river journeys in a way that only AmaWaterways can provide.
