Agents Can Book Air Canada Paid Seats In Amadeus System

by Michele McDonald  March 08, 2017

Travel agencies in the United States and Canada now can access and book Air Canada’s Preferred and Advance paid seat offerings through Amadeus, thanks to a new link between Air Canada and Amadeus’ merchandising technology.

Preferred Seats, often exit row or far-forward seats, provide more legroom, and customers who buy them also can board in Group 3. The seats are priced according to their location and the length of the rip. They range from $19 to $150 per one-way flight segment for domestic Canadian, transborder, Caribbean and Mexico flights, and $69 to $199 for all other international flights.

Advance standard seat selection allows agents to book reserved seats for passengers who have purchased Tango fares, at an additional cost of $10 to $40. Tango passengers otherwise can select seats 12 hours before departure.

Amadeus said booking Air Canada paid seat options follows its seamless, standardized booking flow, saving time and reducing errors.

More than 45 airlines now offer Amadeus ancillary services and fare families in the North American marketplace.
