TRAVELSAVERS Canada announced today the appointment of two new directors to its leadership team: Sandra Joaquim joins as director, supplier marketing, while Clare Burke has been upped to the North American role of director, education and training. 

“The timing is right to expand our leadership team since we experienced such significant growth last year,” said Jane Clementino, senior vice president and general manager, TRAVELSAVERS Canada. “We’ve had several new agencies join our consortium this year so it’s important to maintain our premium level of service and support. Our commitment is to equip our affiliates with the right tools for growth and career satisfaction.”

In her new role, Joaquim will manage communications for 100 suppliers for annual marketing and advertising campaigns across all channels. She joins from Red Label Vacations, where she was senior director, supplier relations and business development. She also had a nine-year stint at Air Transat as senior marketing coordinator (2010 to 2019).

As the new director, education and training, Burke will manage professional development activities and assist TRAVELSAVERS develop its strategic education plans for advisors. A 20-year veteran of the industry, she joined TRAVELSAVERS last year as a marketing manager. 

“Training and education on travel-industry specific content and skills are essential for advisors to remain successful and differentiate themselves in an ever-competitive marketplace,” said Burke. “I look forward to sharing my firsthand knowledge and previous training experience across all of our divisions.”
