Avanti Promotes Two Executives Handling Consortia Relations

Wholesale custom tour operator, Avanti Destinations, has promoted two executives who are responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s consortia relationships.
John Hanratty has been named senior vice president of sales and industry relations, where he will focus exclusively on consortia relations and the sales management function. Based in Austin, Texas, he will report to Executive Chairman Paul Barry.
Hanratty joined the company in 2015, serving as chief marketing officer. Prior to Avanti, he held management positions at Mark Travel, Travel Impressions, and Certified Vacations. Hanratty has also served in several positions at the USTOA, including chairman, treasurer, marketing committee leader, and board member.
Gina Bang has also been named director of marketing and training, reporting to COO Mark Grundy. Bang has been with Avanti for 16 years, most recently serving as senior manager of inside sales and marketing, where she has been responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with consortia, as well as tourist boards and other industry partners on joint marketing efforts.
