Regent Seven Seas Debuts Online Travel Agent Tools
by James Shillinglaw /Agents can learn more about how to sell the new Seven Seas Explorer by enrolling in the online Regent Seven Seas Cruises University.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has introduced a collection of online resources for travel agents. The new resources include updated educational tools that focus on the line’s value proposition and all-inclusive luxury experience, as well as new marketing materials designed to drive sales.
The new resources, Regent Seven Seas Cruises University and Marketing Central, can be found in the Travel Agent Center section of the line’s website.
University curriculum
Regent Seven Seas University’s curriculum provides general information about the brand, the fleet, and a detailed comparison by amenity of Regent’s all-inclusive value proposition.
All courses are interactive, with images, text and video narration to make information easy to understand. They can be started, paused, saved and completed at agents’ own pace. The courses feature two completely revamped learning modules. A third module focused on continuing education is set to debut early next year.
The current courses include:
Regent Experience: This introductory course details the Regent Seven Seas product offering, focusing on such topics as inclusive amenities, personalized service, spacious suites and specialty restaurants, as well as the ships, destinations and the Seven Seas Society loyalty program. After completing the program, agents can download a graduation certificate and will receive two CEU credits from The Travel Institute along with a $250 bonus commission for any new booking made within 90 days of completing the course.
Selling Luxury: This new course focuses on how best to address a luxury consumer. The five-chapter course examines various suite categories offered on Regent Seven Seas ships and the inclusive amenities that come with each category. It also offers tactics for attracting and retaining luxury clients and shares the benefits of selling group bookings. In addition, it details how the Regent Seven Seas sales team can assist travel partners and help grow their business. After completing the course and passing a final review, agents receive two CEU credits from The Travel Institute and a $250 bonus commission for any new booking made within 90 days of completing the course.
Marketing tools
Regent Seven Seas’ new Marketing Central platform offers agents a range of customizable downloadable flyers, print ads, emails, web banners and social media posts. Agents can choose the marketing layout that best fits their needs and simply add their name, contact information and call to action.
The Marketing Center provides agents with the flexibility to develop one piece of collateral or a whole marketing campaign focused on Regent Seven Seas.
Agents can send a customized email directly from Marketing Central at no cost by uploading an email distribution list, or they can download the creative and send from their own email server. Regent Seven Seas retains a history of completed projects, so agents can easily reference or download previous marketing campaigns.
More new features
Travel Agent Center also has been updated with a collection of new features such as a Travel Partner Spotlight, which highlights an agent who has achieved tremendous success selling Regent Seven Seas. The featured agent shares what led to his or her success and provides best practices that can be leveraged by other agents.
In the Sales Resource section, Regent Seven Seas has added a quarterly video update showcasing new developments. Customized versions of the video are created for national accounts, so they can post the content to their internal Intranet sites for all agents within a consortium to view.
The line also introduced a bi-monthly travel agent newsletter called Luxe Agent that features timely information about special promotions, itineraries, destinations and other important updates across the fleet.
