Just a few months after the debut of the $450-million Seven Seas Explorer, Regent Seven Seas Cruises is again upgrading its fleet.
Regent’s Seven Seas Voyager will undergo major renovations during a 25-day dry dock later this month. The Voyager is the second ship—after Seven Seas Navigator—in a $125-million fleet-wide refurbishment program that will next include Seven Seas Mariner in 2017.
The renovations will update the ship with the features and style that debuted with the Explorer in July, including the additions of penthouse, concierge and deluxe suites and the ship’s flagship restaurant, Compass Rose.
Two Explorer restaurants also will be added to Voyager—classic French restaurant Chartreuse and the ship’s buffet La Veranda. The menu at Chartreuse will be identical across the fleet, with options such as roasted rack of lamb with rosemary persillade and chickpea fritters, and poached lobster and scallop ballotine with green asparagus and Fava beans.

On deck, Voyager’s pool grill will get a new infrared barbeque so guests can enjoy grilled steaks, chops, lamb and salmon poolside.
Voyager Lounge, a cocktail lounge, will be installed on the ship’s fourth deck, with a new black-and-white marble bar, live musicians and late-night DJs.
The ships’ reception area also will be completely redesigned with new wood finishing, plush carpeting and seating areas.

Its first trip when it emerges from dry-dock—the annual Reunion Cruise, 23 nights from Barcelona to Dubai hosted by president and CEO Jason Montague—begins Nov. 9.
The goal of the renovation is to provide a consistent feel across its fleet and reflect the features of the new flagship Seven Seas Explorer. “This fleet-wide renovation brings a new level of elegance to the Regent Seven Seas Cruises fleet,” Montague said. “We are making certain that we not only have the most luxurious ship ever built with Seven Seas Explorer, but the most luxurious fleet at sea.”
