Uniworld Announces Second “World” Cruise
by Dori Saltzman /Back by popular demand, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has unveiled its second annual “Rivers of the World” cruise. The 55-day world cruise departs in October 2024 from Lima, Peru for a journey that spans three continents, 10 countries and four of Uniworld’s Super Ships. The voyage ends in Ho Chi Minh City.
“We’re thrilled to debut our second Rivers of the World sailing, back by popular demand, for 2024,” said Ellen Bettridge, president and CEO of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises. “Our guests are not only planning to travel more, but they are seeking longer trip durations that can cross off bucket list destinations in one trip. That’s why we’re excited to be announcing this new sailing with an even longer, farther-reaching itinerary, bringing our guests across South America, Europe and Southeast Asia, for the ultimate action-packed luxury journey.”
The 55-day journey starts with a land stay at the Country Club Lima hotel, followed by a weeklong cruise aboard one of two river ships: the Aria Amazon or Aqua Nera.
Guests will then stay at the Tambo del Inka Hotel in the Sacred Valley, visiting Cusco and Machu Picchu, followed by a stay at Belmond’s Hotel del Cataratas to visit Iguazu Falls and a stay at the Belmond Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro.
From South America, guests will fly to Amsterdam to cruise the Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers for 16 days onboard the S.S. Beatrice. This will be followed by a sailing onboard the S.S. Catherine for a seven-night cruise in France.
Guests are then off to Asia for a stay at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, followed by an overnight cruise in Halong Bay and visits to Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom in Siem Reap (Cambodia), before boarding Mekong Jewel for a cruise on the Mekong River. This final cruise will disembark in My Tho, where guests will then transfer to The Park Hyatt Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City for a final overnight stay.
Prices for the voyage start at $43,399 per person.
