Hawaiian Airlines will once again fly from Honolulu to Auckland, New Zealand, starting Nov. 16, bringing back one of its more popular seasonal routes.
Hawaiian, which has served Auckland from Honolulu regularly since 2013, will fly the service three times weekly on its Airbus A330 aircraft through the end of April 2026. The jets include 18 lie-flat Business Class seats and 68 Extra Comfort seats (soon to be rebranded as Premium Class seats).
The flights not only connect Hawaii with Auckland, but also give Hawaiian—and soon Alaska Airlines flyers—passengers in the continental U.S. another option to get to New Zealand, which has increasingly become a bucket-list destination for Americans.
Currently, Air New Zealand, United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Qantas offer flights into Auckland from destinations in the U.S.
Hawaiian Airlines will soon be fully integrated into the Alaska Air Group, following the acquisition announcement in December 2023. The merger is expected to be fully approved after the Federal Aviation Administration issues a single operation certificate for the two airlines later this fall.
