ARC Offers New, Improved Business Intelligence Solutions

by Michele McDonald  June 13, 2016

The Airlines Reporting Corp. continues to mine its trove of data to create products for its travel agent, corporate, and airline constituents.

The latest is a suite of new or improved comprehensive business intelligence products to help travel agencies and corporate travel managers better understand their air travel programs and ticket spend.

The products also will enable airlines to see a clear picture of their sales channels.

The suite uses identical data derived from ARC-settled ticket transactions to deliver one unbiased version of the truth for all parties. ARC said that using the same data for all components will help agencies and carriers build trust and enhance their business relationships.

The new version of Agency BI aims to provide travel agencies with a consolidated view of ticketing data and peer benchmark comparisons to measure performance across their business operations. These improvements include:

  • Data refresh every Thursday of tickets departure date through Tuesday of the same week.
  • Advanced purchase range filter with four distinct time ranges.
  • Dashboard metrics displaying YQ/YR to identify fees and taxes.
  • Carrier joint-venture filter to group airlines by partnerships and joint ventures.

Corporate BI, designed for corporate travel managers, procurement teams, and their executives, offers an easy way for effective supplier management, traveler compliance, and market and peer group benchmarking. Key benefits and features include:

  • Greater visibility to enhance supplier relationships.
  • Critical air spend key performance indicators and program performance delivered weekly.
  • Relevant benchmarking to corporations with similar air spend and markets.
  • Ability to identify cost savings opportunities.

Airline BI enables carriers to analyze their agencies’ U.S. points of sale and general market data to make more targeted and fact-based business decisions, such as the more informed use of marketing dollars and the ability to direct resources to potentially higher value partnerships.

The products are available through an annual subscription. ARC also can provide individual one-time reports based on a relevant product. Customers can also opt for a data feed of ARC transactional information for use with their own BI solution.
