KIE To Eliminate Paper Invoices
KIE/Kintetsu International, a large travel management company based in New York, is hoping to eliminate paper invoices through the use of Trondent Development Corp.’s AirMAIL and AirWEB service to fulfill its itinerary and invoice delivery needs in North America.
KIE implemented highly customized versions of the products, tailored to the TMC’s specific brand, content and layout specifications They are branded as ki-eDocs.
The TMC also opted for Trondent’s advertising-supported TravelGUIDE supplement, which enables the display of KIE’s own advertisements to travelers within each delivered travel document. The complimentary TravelGUIDE supplement highlights current and traveler-centric information about each destination city. Using geo-coding technology, TravelGUIDE assembles a list of local restaurants, venues, events and business services within close proximity of a traveler’s hotel.
Travelers can use Trondent’s AirWEB site to set their TravelGUIDE preferences to ensure that the content displayed matches their personal interests for restaurant cuisine, local venues and event interests and practical matters such as imperial vs. metric measurements.
The shift to electronic document delivery will save time, cut costs and eliminate redundant work practices. But according to Aash Shravah, KIE’s general manager of corporate sales, the switch also will support the agency’s ongoing Reduce-ology initiative, aimed at providing clients with eco-friendly services.
Executives and travelers of client companies will be able to access all invoices online through KIE’s ki-eDocs platform. Shravah said this will permanently eliminate the “lost invoice” issue. In addition, travelers will know if they have unused electronic tickets via Trondent’s integrated eTRAK system.
