AmaKristina Becomes First River Cruise Ship to Receive Green Award Certification

AmaWaterways announced today that AmaKristina is now sailings as the first passenger river cruise ship to receive the Green Award certification from the maritime industry.
The award is given to ships that “go above and beyond the industry standards “in terms of safety, quality, and environmental performance, acts not only as a recognition of quality but also brings substantial benefits from the many ports participating in the program.”
“A special thank you to everyone from AmaWaterways and RiverTech who worked very hard together in order for us to receive this important designation for AmaKristina and who are continuing the necessary work to see that all ships in our European fleet will receive this important certification in the very near future,” AmaWaterways’ Kristin Karst said in a message to partners.
