Amadeus Names New Distribution Chief

Amadeus today named Laurens Leurink senior vice president of distribution, effective Jan. 1. Leurink also will become a member of the company’s executive committee.

Leurink joined Amadeus from Expedia, where he was president of the Lodging Services Division. From 2008 to 2011, he served as chief operating officer at Booking.com, where he led the company’s expansion outside Europe.

Leurink succeeds Holger Taubmann, who has led the distribution business unit since 2011 and is stepping down for personal reasons. Amadeus said his new role will be announced in due course.
