Hawaiian Airlines Adds Direct Service Between Orlando and Honolulu

Another carrier is boosting service ahead of this summer’s expected travel boom.
Hawaiian Airlines this weekend announced that it was adding service between Orlando’s MCO Airport and Hawaii’s Honolulu Airport. The carrier is boosting service to three times a week, starting on June 1, to meet an expected boost in summer travel demand.
The news gives Hawaiian its third gateway on the eastern coast of the U.S., joining New York (JFK) and Boston.
“Having new service to a domestic destination as popular as Honolulu is a win not only for the residents of Central Florida, but for everyone who travels from Orlando International Airport,” said Phil Brown, chief executive officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority.
“Being able to directly connect two of the world’s popular vacation spots brings a next-level service for travelers looking to explore the best leisure destinations in the United States.”
Initially, the flights will depart Orlando on Tuesday and Saturday at 8:15 a.m. and arrive in Honolulu at 2:05 p.m. The return flights are scheduled for Thursday and Sunday at 5:15 p.m., arriving in Orlando the next day at 7 a.m.
Hawaiian will boost the schedule with additional departures from Orlando on Thursday and then from Honolulu on Tuesday.
Each flight will include a complimentary island-inspired meal. The service will also offer 18 First Class lie-flat seats and 68 Extra Comfort premium economy seats.
